I want to thank all of those who supported and believed in me during my bid to continue serving Whistler as mayor. The confidence of the community has shifted to a new team.
It has been a priviledge to represent this incredible place.
Thanks, and best of success to the Local Government team.

Hi Ken,
Wishing you all luck and wisdom in these next elections. It should turn out as yet another confirmation of the great work that you and your team have been doing in the past years. To us here in The Netherlands, Whistlers’ journey towards sustainability and community engagement is a very compelling example; a real role model for Dutch municipalities who want to do more than just dealing with everyday’s hurdles, really looking forward and creating shared value amongst all stakeholders. Thank you so much for your inspiration!
Warm regards,

I admire the work Ken Melamed’s administration has done over the past several years and would like to see it continue. Whistler is a model for smaller communities everywhere.
I only wish I could vote in Whistler this week!
Carlos Ugarte says:
Hi Ken,
Indeed Whistler is the envy of ski resorts in North America. and having skied arround the world I have not seen a resort and town as well managed as Whistler. Keep doing that good job and I hope the people in Whistler appreciate what they have and re-elect you.
Bob Levy says:
Hi Ken,
I am delighted to be highly supportive of your renewal as Mayor. You have shown passion, determination and honesty in the role to date. You have demonstrated an excellent approach to balancing the delicate and sometimes conflicting requirements with respect to development, stability for residents and environmental issues. I wish I were eligible to vote!
Noel Jones says:
I am eligible to vote, and as far as I’m concerned you have earned my vote from the work you have done so far. I hope to have you as my Mayor for the next three years!
Kelly Baxter says:
Good luck in the elections today Ken. The sustainability movement needs more inspiring leaders like you!!
Jeff Anhang says:
I’m wondering if you might be the same Mr. Melamed who taught English at Wentworth School in Cote Saint Luc in the early 1970s?
Ken says:
Jeff, sorry that is not me.
