Over the years, I have been very impressed with his deep commitment to community sustainability and citizen engagement. I have also admired his efforts to be fiscally responsible. It is very easy to say that you are going to reduce taxes but it is much more difficult in practice when you have increasing demands for services and long term labour contracts. I believe that the citizens of Whistler are extremely fortunate to have Ken Melamed as their mayor and very much hope that he is re-elected on November 19th!
